The best creature friend you could
have in your garden is the Earthworm. They
come to the surface at night. Anchoring
their back ends in the soil they then cast
around the surface for leaves and other
dead organic matter. When they find something
they drag it down into their burrows and
eat it. Its goes through their bodies and
is then worked on again by bacteria.
Earthworms also eat soil and deposit it
as small pellets which improves better
drainage and aeration. |
